Business Intelligence Roundtables |
|
Our new and exclusive Roundtables are peer to peer events allowing senior executives with similar functional areas an opportunity to share ideas, best practices and fellowship. Roundtables are formed by ITP members. Participating individuals gain direct access to practical, technical and business-related information in specific subject areas through regular meetings. Roundtables are open to all individuals from ITP member companies. Non-members are welcome and encouraged to participate in roundtables for a short period to get a feel for the organisation and its activities. Pre-registration is required to attend all roundtables. Check out the current schedule of events to find an upcoming roundtable and register.
ITP ROUNDTABLE SERIES OF EVENTS:
'Empower the Decision Maker' These are a series of intense one day roundtables aimed at senior decision makers to enable them to better understand how they can benefit and implement solutions to enable them to make more use and gain more competitive advantage from their data resources. 1. Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) - High level, fast track overview for senior managers. This introduces all the different aspects to a performance management solution and provides different approaches and methods to providing business benefit. This focuses on the people and organisational aspects of EPM, including relevant introductions to change management and leadership skills. 2. Performance Management (PM) - This event discusses how to go about defining Enterprise and Operational KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) that can be used to measure and manage the performance of an organisation. This is aimed at senior business people, who will be required to manage, change and measure the performance of their business units. Again the focus here is on defining KPIs that work and make a difference and to consider some of the side effects that can be introduced. 3. Data Management (DM) - This covers how to manage and implement data across an enterprise in a robust manner, under control at least risk. Covers; data governance, data quality, meta data management and master data management. Again this is a high level, fast track event to enable people to understand the concepts, so they are enabled to obtain maximum benefit from any initiatives that they may wish to deploy themselves. 'Implementing BI for Benefit' To supplement the 'Decision Maker' roundtables, we also run a series of 'Implementing BI for Benefit' roundtables. These are still non product focused, but relate more to a technical audience, responsible for delivery of the solution. Again the emphasis is around using approaches and tools to provide quick, cost effective results to provide real business benefit: 4. Business Intelligence (BI) - This one day roundtable discusses how to benefit and implement the technology required to support your EPM strategy. This is non product related and hence teaches best practice and should be attended by all people considering purchasing technology tools and in doing so they will avoid unnecessary software costs early in the solution delivery. This is aimed at senior decision makers and project managers responsible for delivering these solutions. 5. Good Output Design (MI) - One day roundtable aimed at the management information (MI) content author, covering; how to determine what the business wants to see, how to build suitable reports and how to design dashboards that are fit for purpose. Again this event is not technology or product related, but covers the essential concepts required to build content that has an impact and delivers the desired results. 6. Data Warehouse Design (DW) - This one day event describes why you may need a data warehouse and how to go about designing one. This is aimed at people with a good understanding of database technologies and covers dimensional modeling and best practice implementation methods. 7. Data Integration for Data Warehousing (ETL) - This roundtable discusses the fundamentals of moving and transforming data in a robust manner in order to build a data warehouse that can adapt to modern business needs.
