Rapid delivery means that value can be seen quicker and confidence is assured. The approach builds value cumulatively because subsequent phases (possibly involving more data sources and user requirements) can be scoped and delivered based upon the existing processes and infrastructure.

One of the key frustrations that IT professionals face in any Business Intelligence project is that, more often than not, the users have great difficulty in defining exactly what they require up front. This is because they find great difficulty in visualising what they can do in the new environment and how this will be aligned to their ever changing business challenges.
