Business Intelligence Consultant (SAP Business Objects)

Location: London/Birmingham

Specialist Business Intelligence Consultancy requires an ambitious and experienced Consultant who can manage projects and clients whilst also delivering at a technical level. Candidates must be excellent communicators with at least 5 years of commercial IT experience with at least 2 of them within a consulting environment. This is a primarily a technical consulting role but the successful candidate will also have a good understanding of stakeholder management and a proven track record of identifying and developing additional business opportunities whilst acting as a trusted advisor. A strong background in business intelligence is essential including knowledge around; dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, ETL and end user query tools.

Candidates must have experience with the following disciplines and technologies:

Stakeholder management
Work package management
Dimensional modeling (Kimball)
BusinessObjects Enterprise XI
Universe Designer
Web Intelligence
Data Services (Data Integrator)
Xcelsius

The following disciplines and technologies would be advantageous:

Experience in Installations and/or Migrations V6.x to XIR3
Crystal Reports
BOE SDK
Budgeting Planning and Consolidation (BPC)
Agile/Scrum methodology
Microsoft (SQL*Server, Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services, Analysis Services)
QlikView.

A strong academic background, with a minimum 2.1 degree is essential.

This is a key role to ensure IT-Performs success. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, we are looking for a results-driven BI Sales Executive with a unique set of talents and a true Commercial mentality.

IT-Performs deals with blue-chip corporations and is well respected in the industry as a specialist BI consulting firm, partnering with the leading vendors, SAP and Microsoft. The Directors see this post as the opportunity to build upon past success and grow with the increased demand and changing technology landscape. This role is extending the existing sales capacity and will build upon our current sales and marketing success.

Experience of selling BI and Data Warehousing software and professional services to medium and enterprise companies, is essential. Understanding of the fundamentals of business systems such as ERP, CRM, Finance, HR, Budgeting etc., would be useful. As a specialist consultancy, experience of selling professional services and appreciation of working for a smaller organisation is advantageous.

The growth plans of the company mean that there is scope for career progression into a sales management role. However, the priority is for a dynamic, experienced, new business sales professional who can deliver to target and meet customer demands.

Location

Office location is in Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands, but territory is the South East of England, so there is scope to work from home, if necessary.

The Company has experienced significant growth over the past 3 years and has now established a graduate trainee consultant program to develop talented individuals into first rate Business Intelligence consultants.

The ITP graduate trainee consultant program is a 2 year program that provides successful candidates with a powerful blend of consulting skills, technical skills and commercial experience leading directly to a full consultancy role within the organisation.

ITP partners with market leading BI technologies (including SAP, Microsoft and Qlikview) and provides defined training pathways that can ultimately lead to industry recognised qualifications.

Although this is primarily a technical consultancy role ITP is looking for candidates that have a genuine interest in business issues and problems along with a natural flair and aptitude for technology.

A minimum 2:1 degree with some exposure to Information Technology or Business Information
Demonstrable problem solving skills and a propensity for technology

Proven verbal and numerical reasoning skills
Ambition to advance through the company to become a trusted advisor to senior business managers within this growth sector
